Josh Brown, CPP, (Board Certified in Security Management by the American Society of Industrial Security) has over 23 years of law enforcement experience and over 19 years experience in Crime Prevention and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).

Mr. Brown is an expert in, and has conducted well over one thousand Risk Assessments including private, commercial facilities, public facilities, governmental facilities and communities. He is certified as a Crime Prevention Specialist by the Department of Justice and is a Security Design Instructor. Josh has been featured over 50 times on ABC, CNN and radio station WMAL. Mr. Brown has also been awarded the Meritorious Service Award by the Fairfax County Police and as Officer of the Year by Police and Citizens Together, Council of Governments. He has written local, statewide and nationally distributed brochures on Commercial Robbery Prevention, Substance Abuse, Trail Safety, Neighborhood Watch Guides, as well as three articles on Rape and Assault Prevention.

Presentations where Mr. Brown has been featured include: the Second Annual National Conference on Crime, Washington D.C., on the subjects of Evaluating Crime Prevention Programs and Lighting Technology, the Third Annual International CPTED Conference, Washington D.C. and at the 2002 International CPTED Conference, held in Brisbane, Australia.
