Feasibility Studies

Before any project is undertaken the feasibility of that project should be evaluated. STANDING STONE provides a multi-dimensional analysis of the site location and the requirements and expectations of the people who will use the new facility. Our feasibility analysis will determine the circumstances in a community that can contribute to or detract from the safety, security and emergency response capability of a proposed project.

Assessments

A safety, security and emergency response assessment uses a combination of quantitative techniques to evaluate the vulnerability of the facility's assets to certain threats and how those threats and vulnerabilities put the mission of the facility at risk. In an assessment!

the intent, motivation, and possible tactics of perpetrators of a threat are evaluated.

Using the findings from the asset, threat, and vulnerability analyses, appropriate countermeasures can be selected, evaluated, and recommended.

Strategy and Planning

Developing a strategy begins with setting the overall goals of the security and emergency response plan. STANDING STONE helps our clients through the strategy development process. Strategy is usually based on the information developed in the assessment, i.e. what is to be protected, and from what level and nature of the threat. Working within the organization's context (how the facility is used) and the mission of the facility, STANDING STONE helps identify and prioritize for key assets m and explains the vulnerability if those assets to the previously identified threats. We show our clients how to properly apply tactics to accomplish their security and emergency response goals and to prevent creating potential liabilities.

Policies and Procedures

Effective policies and procedures directly influence performance and behavior. Security and emergency polices and procedures must also support the mission of the organization and the facility. By understanding our client's mission, in addition to the risks they face we can positively influence security and emergency management. Policies and procedures should not be so intrusive or complex that they cannot be followed in the normal function.

Emergency Management

Emergency management is the process of preparing for, mitigating, responding to and recovering from an emergency. An emergency is anything that has a negative impact on an organization of facility. Can the client fulfill their responsibility to protect their people, their property, and their processes? STANDING STONE aids our clients in evaluating their current emergency management capability. We identify the risks and recommended solutions. Our consultants guide the client through this planning process, provide and help conduct drills, so that they are prepared for and can recover from and emergency.

Training

STANDING STONE CONSULTING INC. offers a wide range of training associated with safety, security, and emergency response. Our trainers have presented thousands of seminars to organizations such as State and local police, the FBI, the US Marshall's Service, the Military, various Professional Organizations, and concerned individuals.
